For the fourth issue of period journal, they decide to go where relatively so few women have gone before- SPACE. Space is defined as being 100 kilometres or 60 miles above the surface of the earth, and about 550 people have been there. Of those, 57 have been women.
So what is Space? Space is everything that is outside of us, but then space is also inside of us. It's complicated. When thinking of space it's easy to imagine wide, open space: empty, minimal, and peaceful spaces. But there's also personal space, gendered space, virtual space... the list evolves alongside us. Of course, we all occupy a multitude of spaces at different times and in different places, each one with it's own set of rules and expectations. The central question for this issue is this: how do women perceive space?
