The Femme Type Issue
Introducing issue 04! For those of you who have followed us from the very beginning, you’ll know that Femme Type was the humble beginnings of our brand. Born out of the lack of representation of women’s typographic contributions in the design space, Femme Type was set up as a platform and publication in 2019 to help tackle this important diversity issue. We’ve been itching to publish another publication, and have used this special issue to continue to champion our community’s under-represented creatives through forward-thinking, educational editorial explorations.
For issue 04, we commissioned four type-focused artists, (1) Margot Lévêque, (2) Zuzanna Rogatty, (3) Kimya Gandhi, and (4) Jorge Jacobs, briefing them with the task of creating their unique number ‘4’.
